Being a Vessel Pt. 2 – A Sailboat

·

I spoke of a vessel in an earlier blog. I was speaking of one that is used to pour liquid through in that previous writing. Another vessel we are is a boat. I am speaking of a sailboat in particular. One that harnesses the sustainable Wind to move to where it needs to go. The Wind that is always there that we can always count on.

These days I have to admit, I don’t even know exactly where my boat is going. I have some general ideas, but no specific destination. I am on a trip sailing all Seven Seas. I really am just drifting with Faith that I will periodically dock and then move forward where I am supposed to go.

I definitely feel that I am the sails of the boat, but the rest of the boat I am still discovering like the features of a new car. What is this feature? Oh wow! It has this? I know I am the sails, but feel semi-detached to the rest of the boat sometimes. I am on a mission to get in touch with all the components of my ship and learn how to use this ship to get to where I want to go. The boat is me, but it’s even more our True Eternal Self as God is inside us as our Soul. We are on a trip around the world! I just don’t know everything about my boat, as I’m discovering new features and nuances and new compartments. I don’t know myself best like my Creator does. I know my history which means very little and I have learned of the potential to live in my True Divine Self rather than the history and low vibrational behavior of the small self. I’m on a journey and I am the sails that are open and ready for the wind to catch and take me where I need to go. I know that many want to be the wind and the boat. I guess that’s more like deciding that I want to go somewhere and using a motor so I can push myself where I want to go. I desire to use wind energy. Wind is sustainable. It is always there. The wind is the Holy Spirit that created everything. I’m truly a sailboat that can adjust the sails to catch the wind at a more optimal way. I want to adjust my life to get the real power of our Wind. Only the Holy Wind knows where I need to be and the route I take. I yield to this Directional Force. There are routes where the wind blows and currents push that we can use as a sailor. I want to tap into the flow of the Powerful Current like the Gulf Stream. I want to learn as a student where and when these Winds and Currents are. I want to discover all the hidden compartments and features of my boat. I desire to learn how my boat works and the best ways to use it. My boat is me and I’m learning about its quality, craftsmanship and it’s abilities because I don’t know the full potential of this boat. I’m like a new owner that doesn’t even know all the options because I didn’t know the this boat came with these features. It is luxurious and comfortable. I’m amazed when I learn of my boat’s ability and I’m thankful and excited about these new features I didn’t know existed. What I do know is the sails and I need to maintain these sales so that they don’t become tattered and ripped and can’t catch the wind. I want the sails to be thick and strong.

I know this journey is going somewhere great. I am present with and enjoying the journey and the destination is as important. I trust the Wind and the Currents and I move in the direction I am pushed and that always feels good to me. I have 100% trust in this Almighty Wind. Sometimes I go really fast! It is exhilarating! I really get some speed going when that wind catches my sails and I am in flow with my high vibration. There are times that we temporarily anchor in a harbor to rest replenish.

My beautiful good friend who is on a real sailboat journey lives on a sailboat and knows a lot more about this than I do. I can’t wait to see her soon and ask her all about how to sail and her sailing adventures with her lovely family. They sold everything … house, cars, most possessions and bought this boat to live on. They sail everyday and live on their sailboat.

Sometimes on our journey we will encounter some rough seas. No matter how much we plan and use the timing of the currents, there may be a storm we encounter. Nobody wants to encounter rough seas, but it certainly shows us what our boat is made of. We can learn about how strong and capable it can be. It is built to withstand ANY storm. When we happen to get in a rough situation, we have to steer into the high waves. We cannot avoid them. They will topple you if you get sideways. If you were to get sideways with those big waves, you can capsize and sink. You got to go right towards the big waves to make it through the storm safely and survive. We cannot avoid the storm. We cannot outrun it. We steer into it. It is leaning into our troubles we encounter rather than running. Do you sometimes run away and not deal with your storms? It never works. Surely your boat will be high and low and get tossed about and almost seem like it’s going to sink, but those deep rudders in that sea keep it afloat.

God is our rudder(s). They are deep and strong. Every sailboat has a rudder. Without it, the boat cannot counter the forces put into the sails and cannot steer in a straight line. You cannot navigate if you know where you want to go without a rudder. You won’t be able to have any control or its direction. A rudder failure of any kind is a serious emergency at sea. Thankfully our Heavenly Rudder won’t fail us. It’s hidden underwater most of the time. We often forget about this Holy Rudder, at least until we are in trouble. It always saves the day when we are in need.

We are a vessel along with the Spirit of our True Self with strong sails, amazing features of comfort, luxury, ability and the strongest rudders we can imagine. We are a sailing vessel. We’re learning what our boat is made of on the seas that we encounter. We get confidence when we make it through a storm and we know we can handle the next storm of that magnitude. We can tap into the Wind and even know how to adjust our boat to use the Wind to its upmost potential. We can rest assured we will make it through any storm we encounter. We have the most amazing Vessel! We must take care of it, have Gratitude for its abilities and believe in its power and potential.

Your kindness is a wind in my sails.
You may want to start at the bottom and work your way up … that is the order they are written and sometimes refer to a past writing. 🙂
