Once again, this is another question in relation to this blog and the book that is being written. If you have a question, please do not hesitate to ask or make a comment as I am always seeking interaction for my growth and yours.
You speak of Christ, are you a Christian? Is a Heartbroken Warrior a Christian?
I do not take any names like that. Our language or any language is limited because of perceived definitions. The word God has a perception of a Caucasian figure with a flowing white beard floating in the clouds to some. I try to use other words for our God. Christian is usually associated with a popular belief system and evangelical culture. I have my own view of our world that is always growing and shifting and being honed to what is True. There is only one Truth and every religion was initially based on Divine Truth. Religion is made by man and often corrupts the True concepts of God with man’s selfish intentions of personal power, greed, wealth and the like which is all rooted in fear. These are my beliefs and I encourage you to find your own. I certainly am not claiming my views to be yours.
I believe in taking from everything we encounter, especially since it is purposeful, and using that for our own philosophical view. Even if you are an Atheist, you are still a child of God with the spark of our Creator inside and on a spiritual Path whether that person realizes it or not. You are still loved and taken care of no matter your perspective. We are here to follow our own Path that we decide on and choose and develop our own perspective. We are not robots that have to satisfy a check list or pray in a certain way to gain salvation. We do not have to be “saved” from eternal Hell. We are spiritual beings in human form here to become more like Christ. I am not referring to a singular historical figure, such as Jesus Christ, in the conventional sense. Instead, there is a more expansive and symbolic understanding of the Christ consciousness, which is a state of divine awareness and connection to the universal Love and Truth that transcends individual identity. Christ consciousness is the True Divine Self that is in every person.
A “Christ” is a vibrational energy that can be viewed as a frequency that exists within all people and accessible to everyone, not just a select few. It represents the highest state of being and an embodiment of Love, Compassion, and Truth. In this context, “Christ” is not a singular figure, but a state of consciousness that one can align with or awaken to. Jesus found this consciousness and embodied it. Everyone has the potential to embody “the Christ” within themselves. You can be Bob the Christ or Helen the Christ. It’s a state of spiritual evolution that leads to living in alignment with Divine Love. Rather than being a historical figure, the Christ is the essence of divinity, available to all who seek it.
There are and have been many Christs. When I speak of a Buddha, which there were many, I am referencing the Christ. Divine Christ consciousness is not limited to one individual or one specific time in history. There are many expressions of this Christ energy throughout human existence. It could be understood as a kind of collective spiritual potential, where many individuals can embody the Christ consciousness in their own way, through their actions, their awareness, and their connection to the Divine.
Christ refers to a collective expression of Divine Love, Wisdom, and Truth. Simply, it is a field of consciousness that all beings can access and embody as they evolve spiritually. History does recognize that there was a Jesus Christ. I believe in the divinity of this man as he attained the highest realm of spirituality. According to Edgar Cayce, who channeled this Christ, there never has been a time that Christ has not been on this Earth. The Christ is not a fixed, singular entity but a universal state of consciousness available to all, manifesting in many forms and through many people. It is all about aligning with the highest divine potential within oneself and in the world.
Christianity and religion have a value and transformative potential for people to become more like Christ via spiritual teachings. Whether you adhere to a religion or not, there is a need for personal spiritual awakening and direct experience of Divine Truth for you to be a “Christian” or any spiritual being in this human experience. A danger of religion is specific dogma that is exclusive to an institutionalized belief system.
I personally approach religion and the Bible from distinctly spiritual, but a non-dogmatic perspective. My goal in my philosophy is rooted in broader teachings from many sources about the nature of reality, the self and the Divine, rather than in traditional religious frameworks. Again, religion is a human construct. It is designed to help people understand and connect with the Divine. However, religion often becomes distorted by dogma, rules, and fear-based teachings, which can create separation rather than alignment with Source Energy.
I believe the Bible is a metaphorical tool. I emphasize that I do not believe you have to believe this way that I do. This is my perspective and you should develop your own. I view the Bible as a collection of stories and teachings that contain spiritual truths. I encourage you to focus on the underlying messages of love, connection, and alignment with the Divine, rather than getting caught up in rigid interpretations of a book. Each person has a direct connection to our Creator and does not need intermediaries like religious institutions or texts to access spiritual guidance. Personal empowerment and inner knowing trumps external authority. Spirituality transcends religious boundaries. The essence of all religions is to help individuals connect with their higher selves and the universal flow of well-being. Organized religion can still be a pathway to understanding the Divine, however you must have caution regarding the dogma and institutionalized beliefs. This dogma often reflects partial truths that through editing, have become distorted by fear and control. The Bible is a symbolic text that contains spiritual wisdom, but through the awareness of higher consciousness, the true meaning of religious texts lie beyond literal interpretation. Our Creator is not limited and confined to any religion or text. We are to move into a higher state of consciousness while on this Journey. Religion and spiritual texts like the Bible are tools that can help us on our spiritual journey, but they are not the ultimate truth. Ultimate Truth lies in direct experience and alignment with the Divine. I challenge you to seek a direct, personal connection with the Divine and to focus on universal spiritual principles rather than rigid religious frameworks.
There are underlying universal principles that can be found across all religions. This is why I take from everything that resonates to me personally and apply those concepts to my life by practicing my epiphanies on a daily basis. I aim to think for myself and have my own direct connection to Divine Truth rather than relying solely on external sources of authority, including religious institutions. Jesus said the Kingdom of Heaven is within and that is the source of true spiritual knowledge. My unique answers for me are in me and not you and the contrary of your answers are not from any other source, but from inside you. Each individual is capable of accessing the Divine through their own inner knowing and alignment. I like the idea of transcending the boundaries created by labels and doctrines and instead focusing on the essence of Love and Unity that underlies all true spiritual teachings.
Religions have many times hurt many people and have created wounds that rose from inclusive institutional religious beliefs. People have been excluded, hurt, oppressed, or limited by dogma. Many people speak to me with a sense of spiritual disillusionment or trauma due to their experiences within organized religions. I have certainly gotten lessons from my strict allegiance to Christianity in the past. We can heal these wounds by reconnecting them with the pure, Unconditional Love and Truth that is at the heart of all spirituality.
Overall, I have a more expansive view of spirituality that integrates aspects of many religious teachings. Essentially, like the initial intent of religions, we should emphasize Love and inclusion rather than separation, personal growth, spiritual awakening, and alignment with the Divine. We must move beyond the limitations of traditional religion and discover our own unique, direct relationship with God. We can still respect the wisdom and beauty found within religious traditions and those brothers and sisters that adhere to organized religions. I desire to have a perspective that honors the spiritual teachings of Christianity and other religions, but encourages others to experience a deeper, more personal connection with Truth and Love that is not constrained by institutional structures.
