These two concepts are antagonistic and yet the same. It isn’t quite a paradox, although everything is (I apologize for that). What I am speaking of is how there is only one Truth and that essentially is Love. The Truths I am speaking of are the principles of God. Those cannot change or be denied or die. Reality however is changeable and can be false and can be reborn. Our reality is what determines heaven or hell. Those two concepts are what we can experience here on Earth. They are relative to our experience. Our Perfect Loving God does not create anything less than Love which would be fear since all things like hate or violence or anger and the like are rooted in fear.
A Course in Miracles is a dictate by Jesus Christ via a regular woman that was not necessarily a believer. She did want to give access to the Words that were coming to her involuntarily. Those Words were disturbing to the point that she was wondering if she was having a mental breakdown. Instead, she allowed and trusted. These Words are Truth. These Truths are Perfect. Here is an excerpt of these Truths related to reality.
I will continue this discourse on these few verses on Truth and Reality over the next few days. Here are the first three excerpts.
Truth can only be experienced,
it cannot be described
and it cannot be explained.
This is so relevant to our lives. I love this! This correlates exactly to what I have been saying and understanding about mistakes. Mistakes are not sin. In fact, I will go as far to say that sin doesn’t exist. It is rooted in judgment. God does not judge. God did not set you up for failure. God is only Love. Sin is fear based. We are here to make non-judgmental mistakes so we can learn. This is alchemy. Any time we can change our mind, it is alchemy. It is changing lead to gold. It is rebirth as Jesus said, “We must be born again”. We are here to trip and fall on the path and turn around and notice the rock we tripped over. We can then have a choice to remove the rock if we can, so we and others will not scrape the knee upon a fall or we can just remember this for the future so we avoid that outcome we did not like. Simple. It is a mistake or a missed take. Are we to beat ourselves up for not seeing something? What if you were having the greatest epiphany and just weren’t watching where you were going? What if you were just dreaming and fantasizing about anything? It doesn’t matter. It was a wonderful opportunity to grow like all obstacles or unasked-for situations we come across in life. Those obstacles may be difficult and scary and perceived as bad at the time, but frequently if we are open, we will see all of them as a gift if we grew from them. It is the experience that makes us learn, not the dogma or rules or advise. Maybe we can heed advise because it totally makes sense. That is only because we can relate it to a past experience … even one you don’t remember you had as a small child.
Truth is beyond your ability to destroy
but entirely within your ability to accept.
We cannot fight God’s ultimate Truths. Those Truths sometimes correlate to modern science. Modern science is slow. They are discovering these Truths after they were discovered and proposed hundreds and even thousands of years ago. They need “proof”. Science and spirituality can correlate and in reality are the same. Science and religion … not so much. I think religion is the government of spirituality. Who likes the government? Only those who benefit with a low form of reality … money, power, fame, etc… I kick religion to the curb myself. It is useless for me and please know I am not insulting it. It just doesn’t work for me. I hold dearly my spirituality however. It is a personal relationship with the Creator without the need for man-made rules to follow or an intermediary to intercede for us between God and us. I digress though. We cannot destroy Truth. We are here to learn and accept the perfection of God’s laws. Love trumps fear. We can learn the real Truths from our experiences. That is what they are for. Those Truths are eternal and have Life. Eventually, we will all accept them as the Light uncovers them for us. We will see the failure of living in fear and how the outcomes of those behaviors always lead to death of some form. Sure we can cheat or steal and it seems like that worked when we were winning or enjoying that thing we got selfishly. Eventually however, we see the pain those actions created and how fleeting the joy is and our guilt will become overwhelming. I have gotten swag from events and they were free. I was greedy and took extra and then they sat around my house unused and taking up space and eventually thrown away, however my guilt remained for that waste and selfish taking. I could have just taken what would have been useful and used that thing daily and remembered how generous that was to have given away this useful thing and I would have daily thankfulness for it and the kind offer.
I could go into many of the ultimate, unbreakable Truths of God, but that is another write-up based on the complexity and comprehensive nature of that. I will list just a few of these living principles that cannot die. God is Love … infinite and eternal. God is in every cell of everything as a moving current of vibration. God’s purpose for humanity is for them to find Unity with the All. God gives us free will and this is the Gift. There is a Plan for us and there is Life after physical death. Beyond these things I just wrote which only scratches the surface are other principles from philosophies like Hermeticism or Gnosticism or other mystical traditions. Again, not a time for a discussion on this, but I do encourage you to delve deeper into these ideas.
Do not try to look beyond yourself for Truth
for Truth can only be in you.
I shouldn’t even have to discuss this. We see it all over, no matter whether we actually live and believe it. I work with extremely wealthy people. They have everything they can desire and still have a lot of surplus money in the bank. They have many lifetimes of wealth stored up. I am not going to judge whether they are happy or not. Certainly, they would not want to display that they are not. That would be like accepting defeat. I would guess though that they are not fully satisfied because they just seem to crave more. They keep eating and eating until they vomit. They cannot get enough. This I can see. There is not Happiness and Truth, but only in Unity with the Spirit of our Creator. Materialism is empty. It is never enough. There is nothing wrong with having things. Even if you have five Ferarris, that can be okay. They are just machines and granted they cost a lot, but its just an agreement we have made with money that there is worth in these pieces of paper with ink on them. When we look outside of ourselves for happiness, we come up short. We will keep doing so until our money runs out. This is another downfall of extreme wealth. You may not ever hit a bottom. You can sign a check to get out of every bad situation. A rich rapist may not go to jail, but a poor rapist spends his life getting his ass kicked in prison … or worse. Look inside for the Answer! Jesus said, “The Kingdom of Heaven is within”. This is a ridiculously profound statement that simplified religion wants to put in the clouds when we jump through the hoops it dictates. It is Truth!
Again, I am going to post a few more blogs on this Perfect Wisdom from A Course in Miracles in the coming days. Please feel free to comment and discuss this commentary on the Perfect Truth from this book.
