Jesus was a normal human … and the Son of God. Just like us.
I was thinking about how Jesus went into the desert for a 40 day fast. I have fasted for as long as 5 days a few times which is the longest I have done. I have fasted many, many times over the last 7 years or so and it’s a wonderful way to cleanse the body. You receive amazing clarity. I have to say, it is incredibly hard and it took me a long time to build up to 5 days with no food. However, Jesus fasted for 40. How did he do this? I have heard of medically supervised fasting for extended periods of time. We are told that this can be dangerous to your health actually. We know that. We hear doctors talk about how that amount of time would be insane and very harmful. Jesus’ fast was an extreme opportunity to hear his inner voice and be alone with solitude. What an experience!
During this 40 day fast according to the story, Jesus encountered the devil and he was tempted. This is a concept I just wrote about regarding how I felt tempted recently. My temptation was not from a devil. Jesus didn’t encounter a devil either. I guess in a way he did, but not an actual devil like the Old Testament speaks of fallen angels. I want to say that there’s no such thing as a devil. This biblical devil is allegory. It seems like there can be an angel on one shoulder and a red devil with a pitchfork on the other sometimes when we are in situations. If there is a devil, you can call the devil “fear”. In situations, we must identify what choices involve fear. Every time you experience fear, you are encountering the devil. Remember, there is only Love. Everything else is a lie. Everything else is made up by us and believed. There is no judgment and wrath from a loving God. There is no temptation, but the struggle with our fearful collective consciousness we have adopted and believed from our cultural teaching on this Earth. This is the small Self rooted in separation and not Unity with God and all things.
Jesus experienced extreme hallucinations by depriving himself of food when he encountered the devil and tempted 3 times. On an adventure like this, I’m sure he carried a lot of water. He had to plan for this fast to ensure his safety. He did this with intelligence because he was so very smart. He used his brain … common sense and expertise. Of course, he hallucinated. These hallucinations he underwent are very similar to an Ayahuasca experience or other opportunities to get into your inner psyche and soul via meditation or other plant medicine. There are spiritual tools around us we may use for grow if we want to pick them up. They are not required though. This was a natural way that Jesus went into extreme clarity and have a spiritual growth opportunity. I was thinking about when Jesus finally came out of his fast and said … okay, 40 days, that’s enough! He still had to make his way back to where he came from. He wandered deep into the desert for the solitude. How did he do that? It’s not because he was a magical God-being that just floats around and doesn’t live like humans do. No, he was a God in human form just like you and I. He claimed to be the Son of God and the Son of Man. He was born to humans. He just so happened to be able to live in the divine, highest possible vibration all the time. That vibration can be called Love. Not the emotion of love, but true Unity Love … the highest vibration of the Divine Love of our Creator. Anyway, how did he make his way back. Well, as a human he needed to have some kind of plan on how to get back home. Like any person hiking, he had to use a map or set up markers like cairns or whatever. Right? Anyone would do that if they were thinking it through as a responsible human wanting to ensure their safety when traversing uncharted wilderness.
He was human just like you and I are human. He was the Christ and we can be the Christ. Everyone can be “whatever your name is, the Christ”. I one day will be Marlo the Christ just like he was Jesus the Christ. We just have to tap into and live in the highest vibrations. We have to chip away the small self of our collective consciousness of lies that keeps us from being the True Self of God which resides in all people. Living in the highest vibration of Love takes us into a heavenly state. This guy was evolved. When I say evolved, imagine the past lives he had to get to be a Christ. He studied and trained to get to where he was to be able to go to that kind of extreme.
There’s a book called The Past Lives of Jesus by Glenn Sanderfur that is based on Edgar Cayce’s psychic readings. Drawing from Cayce’s accounts, Sanderfur identifies 33 distinct incarnations of Jesus as a “Master Soul”. Each individual lifetime contributed to the development of Christ Consciousness just like we go through. Cayce mentioned that Jesus was Amilius, Hermes/Thoth and Zend. Cayce stated that Jesus was also the biblical figures Adam, Enoch, Joseph, Joshua and Melchizedek. Enoch, it is said, did not die as it is said about Jesus, but just ascended into “Heaven” to end his time here.
Jesus was a Son of God and a Son of Man. Jesus lived many lives according to the channeled accounts of Cayce. This makes sense to me. We also do this. We also are the Sons and Daughters of God and Man. We also have to use our good sense when we hike. We also get angry and overturn tables in a temple because of the insult to the place of worship. This may seem far out to consider. This may even seem like blasphemy, but Jesus was called a blasphemer by saying he was the Son of God.
This all encourages me to continue to chip away the calcified imperfections of my soul to get to my True Self like Jesus did. I am pretty sure that it will take more than 33 lifetimes for me and most of us. Having incarnations to become Jesus isn’t insulting to his Perfection and abilities. It is just how we do this. We live to learn True Love and to grow to be more like our Creator just as Jesus did. We came for a purpose to become the Christ Consciousness. We are here to have Joy and play as well and have that balance. I can only imagine in Jesus’ divine ascendance just how much fun and how funny he had to be. He was here to be a model of who we can be and how to do it.
